Three ideas for keeping hair up and off your neck

Once the temperature drops outside, the heat will go up inside making the temps inside your office hot, hot, hot. This sudden change from cold air to hot can dry out your hair, leaving you with frizzy and sweaty locks. The only way to look hot in this situation—or should we say cool-- is to keep your strands up and off your neck, and the following looks all do just that. Keep in mind that these hairstyles work best with lots of texture aka second or third day hair, so be sure to have lots of Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME® Biotin+ Volume™ Dry Shampoo on hand before styling.

Upside Down Braided Bun

Flip your head upside down and brush your hair out. Grab a section of hair at the nape of your neck and separate it into three equal sections. Start French braiding up the back of your head and continue most of the way up. Tie it off with a thin hair tie. Pull the rest of your hair into a high pony tail and then twist it around to create a messy bun, securing it with an elastic. You can also pull out some hair from the front of your head before making the bun, and add a couple extra braids, wrapping them around the base of the bun and bobby pinning in place. Set your look with Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME® Biotin+ Volume™ Hair Spray.

Side Swoop

Start by curling the front section of your hair around a one-inch curling iron, wrapping away from your face. Place bobby pins along the perimeter of your crown, from ear to ear. Starting from the left side of your hair, take a one-inch section of hair and roll it up around the bobby pins, tucking in the ends. Pin in the ends with a vertically placed bobby pin. You want the bobby pin to hook into the horizontally placed pin from before — this locks them together and helps keep your 'do intact. Continue working in one-inch sections across your head until you reach your curled fringe. Twist those ends into the existing roll, as well. The messier this looks, the better, so don’t worry about perfecting the roll or pinning in equal sections. Keep you swoop in place with a few spritzes of Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME® Biotin+ Volume™ Hair Spray.

Braided French Twist

Tease the crown section of your hair and bobby pin in it back in place. Bring the sides of your hair up, overlapping each other over the previous pinned section. Start braiding the leftover hair all the way to the ends, in the braid style of your choice (this look works well with any type). From the ends of the hair, start bending the braid into itself, continuing until you reach the head. Pin your braided twist in place, crossing your bobby pins like an “x” for maximum hold. Spray all over with Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME® Amino-Q Hold® Hair Spray and you’re good to go.

When the cold weather hits and the temps inside soar, the feeling of sweaty hair sticking to the back of your neck can kill your beauty game. Our three easy styles will keep you looking gorgeous while staying cool when the heat is on - literally!
